i lost my license due to failing eyesight.i am looking for a 50cc street legal motorcycle, something designed like the pagsta mini or tank mini 50. i see alot of chinese made ones, but cant find anyone who sells them retail, you have to become a dealer.i would even be interested in a sport bike style like the aprillia rs50. it just has to meet the guidelines as considered a moped. lets face it, scooters are just ugly. i only need it to travel a few miles and would rather walk than to be seen on a scooter.i have even thought about buying a honda rebel and putting a 50cc motor on it i live in virginia and would like help finding a bike and or a dealer near here. any help would be appreciated.

I’m currently looking into buying a gas power scooter, that’s street legal to drive without a license but I don’t know a single thing about scooters so any tips about what to look for would be helpful.

I have to commute 70 miles one way to college during my 2 years of nursing school. I just can’t afford the gas in my car people! Then on clinicals which is even further away, up to 280 miles round trip, puts a huge strain on my budget. I need something very economical during this nursing school commitment. Which is better to get: A motorcycle or a street legal moped scooter? I don’t know what to get. All your suggestions would be great! Thanks!

if its possible, how can i go about this? Im trying to make a less-than 50cc moped with the modern moped look but also have pedals so it can pass the new jersey requirement of a street legal moped.

I want to get a gas powered motorized scooter (street legal) and i want to buy from a Japanese, European, or American company. So I would like to know of some American companies. I think suzuki, kawasaki, and honda are japanese correct me if i’m wrong but if any of them are american what are some other ones.

I want a cheap mini chopper (under 0 shipped), but I dont want something that is going to be finicy, and a money pit.

here is my criteria:

-Needs to be street legal and classify as a moped (ie: turn signals, lights, etc.)
-doesnt have to be a chopper (scooters tend to be more expensive, I assume choppers are cheaper b/c of the simplicity)
-needs to go over 40mph
-needs to be under 50cc
-hopefully under 0
-needs to be able to drive 20 miles without overheating

I really need to save money on gas, therefore I am thinking to get a moped in the near future. Yet, does anybody know what should I do if I buy a street legal moped or scooter? Do I need to buy insurance? Can I ride it on the freeway? Please help me with my question if you happen to know the answer.

If I purchase a 50 CC gas powered scooter. I know they are normally not street legal. But it can go a fairly decent speed 35-40mph

now i have ask the dps but they say no… but i have seen all over the internet where people are saying that yes they are.. so the question remains are they legal? and if they aren’t what makes it illegal and what could i do to the bike to change that?
