ive been searching for the laws online and cant find em and i hate calling the police station as they always sound like they woke up on the wrong side of the bed…my gf and i wanna get a mini bike/ pocket rocket/ pocket bike…do u need to register and have insurance or can you just ride em around?…i actaully got pulled over on a cheap walmart electric scooter but that was is pa….so i didnt wanna get in trouble for a gas mini bike…if it would need registered that means it prolly would need to be inspected right?…plz help im clueless and want a new toy!!!

Hi i live in the Uk and i know that mini motos are legal.
But i have heard that electric scooters are legal as long as they do not reach 15mph.Any faster and you will need insurance and a licience.
If i was to make a mini moto electric would this still be legal as long as it dose not reach exceese 15mph.

My parents said they’d buy me an electric scooter as long as it was around a grand or so (preferably less). I want an electric only cuz in this state (TX) you don’t have to pay insurance or get a special license.

Thing is, I can’t stand the "sporty" styles they have out there, I want to find one that has that classic, vespa look to it, where the front end is smooth and hs one headlight, etc. I want it to look vintage.

I’ve found many like this, but they’re either the "mini moto" for kids, or super expensive ones. Anyone point me in the right direction?? Thanks!

Hey I am looking to buy a moped or scooter

I want a 150 cc, but I don’t know what the costs/registration and Insurance are for it, if any. If there is any way to go around insurance and registration in Utah, I’d like to know what it is , but if not, what is the costs for a 150 cc, and if I get a 50cc is there any way around paying all that ? and I’d like just general info on scooters since I know nothing about it like good brands prices to pay gas mileage cc’s all that, miles, etc. So please help!

I am thinking about buying a used moped/scooter and I have never owned or driven one before. What do I need to know before a purchase one? I’m looking to buy one to get me back and forth to school and work as I live in a small college town. Do I need special license or insurance?

Im thinking about buying a eletric bike to ride to work for the summer, just wondering if anybody knows if ya need insurance for these things?

I live in NYC and am considering getting a scooter to zip around without having to sit in traffic for hours and worry about parking. I’m also trying to save money but not look ridiculous so a large scooter that doesn’t require insurance and registration would do the trick I think. Any Ideas about what classifications I should look out for?

I am in need of a new car. My main concern is money. i am a first year college student and i was needing to keep my car payment around 350 in order to be able to afford it and insurance. I just resently found out my car insurance went up and so now i would be paying the 0 + 125 for insurance. I only bring home about 0 a month but i am still living with my parents. my other option is to get a scooter. i have found one for only 0 so i wouldnt have a car payment and my insurance would be cheaper. scooters are more dangerous but when i outweighed the pros and cons they came out the same. i know in the end it is up to me but i would just like some out side opinions on what you would do. thank you a bunch!

I really need to save money on gas, therefore I am thinking to get a moped in the near future. Yet, does anybody know what should I do if I buy a street legal moped or scooter? Do I need to buy insurance? Can I ride it on the freeway? Please help me with my question if you happen to know the answer.

Hey I;m considering getting a moped because of the mpg and just how small it is. I live in the city so it would be easy to ride down the street and pickup things or go to point A to point B without having to pay a ton of money.

What are some moped basics? I’m trying to cheap on craigslist. By the way, when i say moped, I mean like scooter style or that look, not like a mini bike. Also i way about 220lbs and I noticed a lot of bikes say 160-200 lbs is the limit.
Also, do i need a license (Massachusetts) and insurance?

I was looking for a 49cc moped to drive in West Virginia. Im 16 but i dont have a drivers license yet. I will be glad to get a drivers license if need be but i dont want to have to get a cycle license, and or insurance if possible : )

If I purchase a 50 CC gas powered scooter. I know they are normally not street legal. But it can go a fairly decent speed 35-40mph

is it possible to make it street legal? by buying insurance or something?

If not, where IS it legal to ride these?

I am 19 years old and wanting a gas powered scooter for local commuting and riding around college. How much does insurance on one of these run? If you do not have one currently insured then don’t answer because I know it is not the same as motorcycle insurance since scooters only get up to 45 mph. Thanks!
p.s. "who cares" I work for the state department full time and have the money for insurance. I am just wondering how much it runs because I like to be responsible with money. If the costs of insurance make up the savings in gas then it is not worth getting one.
