Electric Bike Update
The motor is mounted on the bike forks, and successfully drives the wheel. Now, I’m going to mount tension screws to keep it tight on the chain, and I’ll also smooth over some of the metal. The next part of the project will include new handlebars (probably tall and retro) with a fabricated front and part of the body in metal and fiberglass to hold all the batteries and guts.

RickShaw 3 Wheel Electric Bike Review – 48 Volts
Rickshaw 500 watt motor – Carry Capacity: 330 lbs – Hill Climbing – Incline: 15° Top Speed – 32 kph but Gliding i hit a easy 37 kph downhill www.daymak.com www.daymak.com The Daymak Toronto Canada has 10 stores , their site says they can usually ship within 24 hr , they had one in stock when i talked to them and paid for it , and it got delivered 32 days later , it was damaged , front forks bent in and twisted , rear tire & Tube were split in two , right mirror broken , one light on the entire bike was working, the rear running light ,the front light you guessed it , burned out , of all things , several splits in rear cowling , battery was so flat the horn couldn,t work , key was off ? , Battery and speedometer were wrapped in original plastic and i finally got to use it today , 75 days after i paid for it and 4 days before Christmas . So if you do buy one online , buyer beware , i suggest you have them ship it to a bike shop in your area to inspect it because it could be a Real Lemon and a Heartbreaking Nightmare like i now have . after 74 days of unanswered emails and calls not returned , it has taken its toll . See their other bikes below , my advice is don,t bother with anything under 48 volts . Take Care www.daymak.com

How I skinned my electric bike battery box part 1
This video shows the final steps to the battery box fabrication. I added aluminum panels to the frame. This makes it look really nice and protects the batteries and wiring from the weather. It also makes the battery box look like an integral part of the bike and not like a mad science project gone bad. The next step is to make a lid. This will completely cover the top to make it look complete. The lid is a complex shape and requires bending. The final steps are to solder the internal battery charging connector that will connect the external one to the internal battery charging connector. I could have wired it directly but having connectors allow the batteries to be removed easily. Ebike (electric scooter) in China
Bicycles are everywhere on Chinese roads, along with thousands of electric scooters. This one indicates 50Km/h at full speed but that’s probably a touch optimistic (didn’t go full speed in this video) On a full charge with an 80Kg+ rider using mostly full throttle this one will do just under 20 miles before pedal power is needed (it’s not as hard as you might think to pedal them). A full charge costs only around 1¥ (10p) so you are looking at about 1300 miles per gallon with zero emissions (of course, with electric vehicles the emissions are passed on elsewhere to the power stations/disposal of batteries). The bikes only cost around 2000¥ (£200, £80 of that is the battery). Interestingly, the drive motor is the rear wheel hub itself, the drive chain is just for the manual crank. Update: Have now fitted a cycle computer speedo to get the true speed – max speed so far has been about 36Km/h, so about 22 Mph! Also max battery range in winter is about 25 Km, (15 Miles) before she’s just about out of juice. Should be better in warm weather.
