What are the requirements for a 16 year old moped drive and/or scooter driver in Ohio?
I am 16 years old but do not have my drivers license because of scheduling in-cars…Well anyways I wont get my drivers license until the end of June/beginning of July, but I need transportation to work and to school. I live just a few miles away from both and was wondering what steps I would need to take to get a moped or scooter license as quickly as possible. Also, I was wondering if you can drive them at night legally
How can I count the maintenance cost of a gas scooter 150cc before I buy it?
Aside from calling a dealer. I need to know when I should change the oil. Is it by mileage as a car? what about recommended maintenances, intervals. Do they suggest this and or that at certain mileage like cars? Is there something I should watch out for or be on guard for. I am looking at getting a used vespa 150cc

In a 100cc gas scooter, how much fuel is lost when idling for 1 hour?
I’m researching scooter emissions, and I’m curious to know how much fuel is wasted during idling. I’ve seen a lot of answers about cars and trucks, but I’m guessing the numbers are a bit different for a smaller vehicle. I’d rather not experiment by leaving a scooter on for hours and hours until I can measure the fuel consumption.
Tesla Scooter – three phase electric scooter
It’s the copy of Tesla Roadster on a scooter. The Tesla Scooter has a 3 phase AC motor. A DC to 3 phase AC converter. Nine (bad capacity and 50kg heavy) lead acid batteries (because of insufficient funds) and about 15-20km per charge (about 30% less effective because of weight and the rear wheel gasoline reduction that we couldn’t remove because it’s a conversion). The range would be more than 70km with lithium ones. Power of 120V and about 100A peak current. 50km/h on a flat road and more on a downhill. Innovative charger that saves the batteries for many years more than declared. It has a reverse gear!
Will a 97cc mini bike carry me, I weigh 240 lbs?

I want to get this mini bike for myself. My parents own a lot in a private campground where the speed limit is 5mph for cars and they are very strict about it. They are much more relaxed about golf carts, atv’s ect. I would like to have a mini bike to take with me when I go to visit so I can get around the park. I weigh 240 lbs so just want to make sure a mini bike will carry me before I spend the money on one.
Thanks!
What is the best way to purchase a moped / electric scooter?
I have decided to buy a moped (or electric scooter) to use casually around my neighborhood (not for extremely long hauls).
Since I don’t know much about mopeds, the only place I went to was vespa.com. Most of their options are extremely expensive. I’m looking to spend no more than ,000.
I’m looking for recommendations about obtaining one. Are their other good companies besides vespa? Are their moped/dealer shops that I could visit locally to actually see the different options.
Should I go and test drive one, like I do with cars? Or is this something I should simply buy online (and go that route).
Any other things I should be looking for?
Sweet Electric scooter
My Homemade and designed 5000 watt 300 amp scooter go’s 30 MPH. and with a larger sprocket could go faster. I made the frame to hold the Etek Pem132 Briggs and Straton electric motor and Altrack controller, also I used a differential and a universial to camber the rear Honda comstar wheels. I made the neck to mount BSA front forks and the Triumph headlight, using Yamaha blinker lights, and a 750 Honda hydralic brake lever, lines and rear caliper. The front fender started out Harley Davidson sporter and the rear fender was made from half round steal shell by adding the front and rear panels and the wheel well rolled edge all around. The (Woody look) rear trunk bonnet I made from pine and mohogony adding the frenched 1959 Cadiliac bullet tailighits. The seat is a Harley road king, and the front covers that enclose the 4 12 volt batteries I made out of an aluminum baking pan. This was a 2 year project and I would like to produce these (with modifications) for sale but I am an artist and not a salesmen. Thanks Wayne Kohler

MINI Scooter E – A first glimpse of the new two wheel concept
Almost ten years to the day since MINI launched its revamp of the 1960s classic small car, BMW has revealed a move away from the design that made the iconic British brand famous around the world, with the launch of an electric scooter design concept. While staying true to the features and aesthetics of the 1960s car, the design brief for the MINI E Scooter concept was to create a modern, 2-wheel vehicle suitable for built up, urban areas. The result is three individual scooter designs, all electrically powered and adapted to allow drivers to use a smart phone as the ignition key. The three scooter concepts were unveiled today (23rd September 2010) in London by model Agyness Deyn. The first is a two-seater, produced to mirror the style of the current MINI prototype hatchback, currently on trial on British roads. The second is the most authentic of the three and includes classic features such as British Racing Green paintwork, brown leather upholstery and silver mirror caps. The third design draws on the distinctive graphics of the ‘mod’ era in which the original car was launched. The white body-colour is adorned with stickers while a Union Jack is visible through the perforated leather seat.
